CREATE PC will be at 544 Main St. through April
The Arts Council is thrilled to announce that our generous host sponsor, Vacasa Real Estate, has offered to extend our stay at 544 Main St. through the month of April. CREATE PC, the Arts Council’s pop-up community gallery, will maintain the same hours of operation through the month, Monday through Wednesday 12pm to 6pm and Thursday through Saturday 12pm to 8pm. Stop by and shop local!
CREATE PC is a pop-up community gallery space featuring Summit County, UT artists and places a strong focus on the creative and artistic process. There are currently more than 30 artists represented at CREATE PC, in addition to a curated selection of local creative products all featured in the pop-up space.
In March, we started hosting live art activations in the gallery space for participating artists to showcase their talents and create work while customers browsed and bought art. Nina Miller, who works in several mediums, such as painting, sculpture, installation, drawing, printmaking, and photography, is one of those artists. "Having my artwork exhibited in Create PC space has been a great way of sharing my artwork and gaining exposure on the busy street of Main Street,” says Nina Miller, one of the featured artists at CREATE PC. “It has been wonderful to connect with both the Create PC members as well as the many amazing artists who have artwork in the space. I was able to participate in the live art activation in the space and it was a ton of fun! I painted all day in the entrance area and connected with folks who walked into the space. Having conversations and talking about my work was a great experience and I would love to do it again! Create PC is an amazing place for artists to connect with the community and share work. I feel very lucky and grateful to be a part of it! "
Local artists participating in the CREATE PC pop-up gallery for the month of April include: Alix Railton, Len Starbeck, Scott Bantle, Mark Maziarz, Lisa Shine, Frances ReMillard, Anna Leigh Moore, Olga Hegner, Carol Granger, House Forty Eight, Emily Quinn Loughlin, Rhonda Hypio, Karen Millar Kendall, Art Coccaro, Lisa Nevot, 4 Silver Queens, Janet Beckham, Rabia Karatela, Nina Miller, Mitch Bedke, David Cornwell, Garth Franklin, David Wiener, Ida yoked, Bill Silliman, Kris Hanaman, Richard Pick, Morgan Mullins, Nan Gray, Sara Means, Eric Warner, Robert Johnson, Linda McCauslan, Naomi Doyle of Cade & Co., and Sharon Backurz of Zenzee.
CREATE PC was first launched in the fall of 2019 at 660 Main Street to temporarily activate a dark storefront on Park City’s Main Street. When that temporary space became unavailable in July 2020, the Arts Council found an opportunity to move the CREATE PC pop-up gallery for another stint at 825 Main St. in the fall of 2020. Energized to maintain momentum and to find a new pop-up location to continue creative activations that support local artists, the Arts Council connected with current host sponsor Vacasa Real Estate who now share their Main Street office space at 544 Main St. to host CREATE PC. The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County is so thankful for Vacasa Real Estate who made this pop-up a reality.
