Join us in partnership with Utah Opera & Utah Symphony for one last art piano pop-up performance for the summer! The final performance is set for Sunday, July 23rd at 6pm at the Newpark Hotel in Kimball Junction. Make the most out of a bright & sunny Sunday afternoon and pop in to enjoy a live performance from the talented trombone and piano duo — Sam Elliott & Eve Elliott!
About the performers:
Sam Elliott:
Sam Elliot joined the Utah Symphony in 2015 as Associate Principal/2nd trombone after graduating from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. While at the Conservatory he studied with Paul Welcomer, 2nd trombone of the San Francisco Symphony. Prior to that he studied at the University of Washington in Seattle with Steve Fissel and Koichiro Yamamoto, the bass and principal trombones of the Seattle Symphony. Sam participated in summer music festivals such as the Art of Sound Brass Institute and Southeast Trombone Symposium. He has played with orchestras up and down the west coast including San Francisco, Seattle, and Juneau. When not at Abravanel Hall, Sam can be found at home practicing, homebrewing, and enjoying time with his wife Roxanne and daughter Dagny.
