Monster Drawing Rally 2019
Get ready for another year of creative chaos! The Park City Monster Drawing Rally returns Thursday, June 6 from 6-9:00pm at the Kimball Art Center (1401 Kearns Blvd., Park City, UT). Purchase tickets here.
Monster Drawing Rally is a live drawing event and party presented by PCSC Arts Council and the Kimball Art Center that allows spectators to spy on the creative process, build relationships with local artists, and grow their art collections.
“The goal of the event is to connect people,” Jocelyn Scudder Managing Director of the Arts Council said. “We want to connect artists with other artists and collectors.”
Throughout the night, groups of artists will draw and make 2D artwork in 50 minute shifts. Finished drawings are immediately available for purchase at $50 each. Just like last year’s event, luck of the draw decides the winner of any piece with more than one bidder. All proceeds go to event production costs and future creative community programming.
There will also be a silent auction for guests who don’t win the luck of the draw. Many of the participating artists will bring artwork for auction, and silent bidding will take place during the event in the KAC studios. 60% of the silent auction proceeds go directly back to the artists.
Over thirty incredible local artists will participate in this year's event. Artists include Corinne Humphrey, Shannon Kelley, Bridgette Meinhold, Parker Jones, Clinton Whiting, Adrianna Allegretti C. Scott Bevan, Marley Wright, Mark Elliot, Nikki Keye, Anna Moore, David Habben, Kody Bundy, Tori Olson, Renee Hall, Karen Urankar Zia Terry, Sonia Levitin, Mark Maziarz, Michal Patton, Ida Yoked, Samantha Simon, Mary Perry, Danielle Powers, Kira Sincock, Kylie Millward, Alexander Aubry, Nan Gray, Jean Glaser, Heather Stamenov, Lien Shen, Jerrin Wagstaff, Lyndsie Nash, Blake Peterson, Casey Clifford, Kendra Vicken, James Saarela, Juane Zhu, Kristen Mitchell and Emily Loughlin.
In addition to live art making, there will be music and lite bights. A cash bar will also be available.
Tickets to the event are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door. Kids under 10 are free. Ticket sales are limited, so be sure to purchase in advance to secure your spot! See you there.
