Experience Oktoberfest This Labor Day Weekend at Canyon Villages, Park City Mountain

Let the Polka music and stein lifting competitions commence as Canyons Village at Park City Mountain transforms into a mini-Munich August 30th - September 1st. The event officially begins with an opening ceremony on Friday, followed by an entire weekend of festivities.

As expected, there will be German beer, a Bavarian Market selling authentic fare, Oompah and Polka music will be proudly playing, and there will be traditional live dances!

Events to look forward to (and prepare for!) include a costume contest, stein lifting competition, world key bowling championship and bratwurst eating contest. The costume contest will take place on Saturday. This is your chance to shine and show off your best dirndls, lederhosen and Bavarian attire! No signup is required.

The stein lifting competition will take place on each day of the festival. Test your arm strength and stamina as you are put to the ultimate Bavarian test - holding two full beer steins out from your body at shoulder level! Signup is required as there is limited space.

The world keg bowling competition will be held Saturday and Sunday. Have you ever bowled with a keg? Well, maybe you have or maybe you haven’t, but put your skills to the test and hurl a keg on wheels down the lane at a pyramid of empty kegs. Signup is also required for this event as space is limited. Claim your lane quick!

Lastly, bratwurst eating contest will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Contestants have two minutes to eat as many brats as their stomach can handle. This competition is for the strong-willed and strong-stomached.
