18th annual Jupiter Peak Steeplechase will be held August 7, 2010 at Park City Mountain Resort. This is an endurance race for the trail warrior. This event is a long time Park City tradition, a 16-mile +/- trail running loop with 3,000′ of elevation gain. Mountain Trails is proud to announce that the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase is one of the 10 stages of the nationwide trail running series, La Sportiva Mountain Cup. This event is also part of the "Triple Trail Challenge" is a 3 stage race that includes the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase, Park City Half Marathon and Mid-Mountain Marathon. Participants can register at www.runnercard.com for $35 through July 31, $45 August 1 through race day. Online registration closes August 6 at 5:00pm, MDT. Day of registration will begin at 7:00am for $45 and close at 7:45 AM.

Kids, join us at the Park City Library on Thursday, August 12 at 1pm for more musical fun! Adam Miller, folksinger, storyteller and Autoharp virtuoso, will be a part of the Library's summer program "Make a Splash at Your Library" and entertain with interactive sing-alongs to introduce youngsters to folksongs about swamps, rivers, oceans, and the creatures who make their homes in aquatic environments.
