Park Silly Sunday Market

The Park Silly Sunday Market’s free “CommUnity Elements” are what make this weekly street festival the unique and exciting event it is. Each week the Market provides a free activity that the whole family can enjoy. Whether it is petting the little bunnies, creating a fall leaf mosaic or piece of pottery, there is always something fun for the whole family to participate in. Museums
Alf Engen Museum - Celebrate the glories of winter sports in the Intermountain West - from silver miners sliding on shovels to the glories of the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 - at the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center at Utah's Olympic Park. A tour through the 4,000 square-foot Alf Engen museum includes a 10-minute film that traces Utah's ski history, evolutionary displays on cross-country skiing and Nordic jumping, games of skill in ski jumping and touch-screen displays. The George Eccles 2002 Olympic Museum on the second floor allows visitors to relive the Games through words and pictures, athletes' uniforms, and touch-screen NBC video coverage. The museum is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, except Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.
Park City Historical Society and Museum - Visitors can venture "underground" in the recreated exhibit of the Silver King Mine, meet Park City's Silver Queen, and explore an original stagecoach. Docent-led tours are available by reservation. Self-guided tour brochures are available at the museum desk. The museum shop offers books on local history, limited edition Christmas ornaments, t-shirts, historic photographs, and Historic Society memberships. Visit us at 518 Main Street, Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm, and Sundays from noon to 6 pm.
Summit County Historical Society and Museum - Escape from the modern day and reminisce with Summit County's early ancestors. The museum celebrates the heritage of Summit County through historic photos and exhibits as well as docent-guided tours of the museum, Courthouse, and Main Street Coalville. Open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, the museum is located at 60 North Main in Coalville, in the basement of the County Courthouse, just 15 minutes from Park City.

Classes and Programs
Arts-Kids - An after-school program for at-risk students designed to reach children while they are still open to learning new ways of relating to their world and to facilitate empathy and acceptance of all people within a diverse society. To provide a safe, nurturing and diverse environment in which the creative spirit within each child can open and grow through experiencing the expressive arts. Arts-Kids is a unique 10-week experiential program offered in a small group setting to children ages 8-15. The Arts-Kids program is offered at no cost to the participants. The free after-school program is available to students who are selected by school counselors. Teachers can recommend students, and both parents and teachers can request participation. Arts-Kids Fall offers fall and spring sessions. ARTSPARK - a comprehensive after-school art program for students in grades 3 through 5. Designed as a mini-art school, ARTSPARK offers a curriculum that incorporates the Utah State art education standards. Our state-certified, local art educators, Susan Parker and Anita Slevin, are dedicated to providing this sequential elementary art program to the children of Park City, while also addressing the needs of working parents and our community. As experienced, professional art teachers with over 50 years combined experience, our instructors have the ability and passion to connect with children and make art come alive. Kimball Art Center Young Artists' Academy - A select group of students dedicated to the study and practice of the visual arts. Kimball Young Artists will develop their art portfolio and resume, discuss art history, meet local artists, explore possibile visual art careers, learn proper artist practices, and participate in outreach programs throughout the community. Academy students are required to commit to a minimum of six hours each month for meetings and activities, as well as 20 hours of community service. Young Artists' meetings are generally held every other Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Kimball Art Center studios, which are located on the lower level of the building.
