Now accepting artist applications for the annual Latino Arts Festival! The sixth annual Latino Arts Festival, taking place on June 20-26, 2022 at various locations throughout Park City, will showcase and celebrate Latin American traditions and heritage. The six-day event brings our community together to highlight the beauty and creativity of Hispanic and Latino culture through creative art forms including food, film, fine art, craft, live music and folkloric dance, offering opportunities for all people to connect and interact with one another through arts and culture.

Request for Qualifications // Historic Mural in Hoytsville

Historical Mural Artwork in Hoytsville, Utah Celebrating and honoring history, heritage, and culture of Hoytsville and Summit County, UT. The Summit County Public Art Advisory Board (“SCPAAB”) is seeking qualified artists to execute a highly creative two-dimensional mural artwork to be installed on the exterior of the Public Works Building in Hoytsville. The surface material of the building is concrete and brick, and the design should cover at least one-third of the 364’x11’ wall (approximately 121’x11’), with some flexibility based on concept design after community interviews and mural design development. Included in the process will be a “listening tour” — interviews and meetings with Hoytsville residents, local historians, and Indigenous Tribal members. The Mural process may also be documented with photos and video, so applicants should be willing to consent to documentation.

Get Creative and Show Your Artwork at the Summit County Fair Fine Art Show Coming Up Aug 12-14, 2021

The annual Summit County Fair brings the community together for a week of food, fun, exhibits, demonstrations, contests, and rides. In addition to the demolition derby (always a locals favorite), the livestock showings, the 4H displays, parade, pie baking contest, and the little buckeroo rodeo, the Fair hosts the Fine Arts Show at the Ledges Event Center at the Coalville Fairgrounds which gives local artists the opportunity to share their creative work with the public. Admission to all Fair events is free and a full schedule of activities is available on the Fair website.

Call for Artists // Art Fencing Design for the Arts and Culture District

The theme for the project Imagine Park City envisions the past, present and future of creativity in the Park City community. It considers the evolution of the arts in Park City and captures the unique spirit of local artistic expression involving Park City’s values – Historic Character, Small Town, Sense of Community, Natural Setting. The goals of the project are to beautify construction infrastructure around the future site of the Park City Arts + Culture District in a way that will work in any season and makes sense for the location, engage the community by soliciting art from local community members and artists, engage the community in City Council’s top priority of arts and culture, and the development of the Park City Arts + Culture District, and integrate the theme of the project with the scale and physical space of the fencing.
