Cedar City’s Simonfest Theatre Company is excited to be celebrating their 21st season with Into the Woods! This year, August 10th-20th, they bring their production of “Into the Woods” to Park City’s Egyptian stage. Several recognizable fairy tale characters created by the Brothers Grimm come together in a story of wishes, curses and choices as they journey into the woods. Cinderella, Little Red, Jack, the wicked witch, the Baker, his wife and several others, to life on the Egyptian stage.

Catch Once Upon A Mattress at the Egyptian Theatre

The Egyptian Theatre’s YouTheatre is bringing the much loved story of Once Upon A Mattress to the stage as their big spring musical this month. Having started rehearsals the second week of February, the cast and crew have spent 12 weeks perfecting their roles and are excited to bring the characters of Princess Winnifred, Prince Dauntless, Queen Aggravain and the villagers to life.

The Scarlet Pimpernel Arrives at the Egyptian Theatre

The cast of Ogden’s Ziegfeld Theatre is coming to Park City’s Egyptian Theatre March 24th through April 2nd with their latest production The Scarlet Pimpernel. Journey back to 1792 for this drama-filled glimpse into the reign of terror taking place during the French Revolution as a secret society of daring Englishmen set out to rescue French aristocrats from the guillotine.

Spamalot at the Egyptian Theatre

Ogden’s Ziegfeld Theatre is bringing their production of Monty Python’s Spamalot to Park City’s Egyptian Theatre November 12 to 27. This 2005 Tony Award winner for Best Musical is a laugh-filled, lovingly ripped off version of 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Broadway Faces with Randy Barton & Robyn Cage

Our historic Egyptian Theatre has been dark since they turned off the spotlights and locked the doors. “We were the first to shut down,” says Theatre Manager/Director Randy Barton. “ We had three sold out nights for the band “Moe” and fans were flying in from everywhere to see them. We made the hard decision to close on 3/12. This was voluntary – not by order.” Like many businesses and nonprofits they've had to think outside the box to invent a new way to be 'Covid Cool' and keep guests safely entertained.

Egyptian YouTheatre Summer 2020

The Egyptian YouTheatre offers a varied menu of 2020 summer camps for ages 5-18. These camps will be held 'live and in person' in the newly built YouTheatre space. After so much isolation this spring local kids (and their parents) are hungry for this type of interaction. Egyptian Theatre's YouTheatre // Learning Beyond the Stage

Egyptian Theatre YouTheatre was established in 1995 and has enriched children’s lives through various programs. Today, YouTheatre has 31 kids appearing on stage and four backstage tech crew students. This program has taught over a thousand aspiring actors - some who have gone on to study acting in college or pursue careers in the theatrical arts. Some of their students have even performed on Broadway.

Park City Follies: A Yearly Tradition
