Celebrate the Season with Park City’s Electric Parade

The final days of autumn are upon us, and that means the holiday season is right on its heels. What better way to kick it off than to gather friends and family for Park City’s annual Electric Parade? Produced by the Historic Park City Alliance, the Electric Parade is a free community event that celebrates Small Business Saturday and starts the holiday season in grand style. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 25. Anyone is welcome to participate - register by November 20!

The Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation was established in 1989 for the purpose of constructing a modest ski museum in honor of ski legend, Alf Engen. With the selection of Salt Lake City as host for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the concept was dramatically expanded to include a Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games gallery and other features which would transform the museum into a winter sports cultural center. Park City Celebrates Heritage on Miners' Day

The sounds of jack hammers will echo through the the hills of the mountain town of Park City, Utah as the 19th century mining town turned ski resort celebrates its past on Miners' Day on Monday, September 4.  The day long festival will feature a parade, Miners' Day 5k run, skateboard jam, an exciting mining skills competition, fun for kids and adults alike in City Park plus the annual Running of the Balls on Park City’s historic Main Street.

Spirited: Prohibition in America at the Park City Museum

SPIRITED: Prohibition in America, is the temporary exhibit at Park City Museum appropriately located in the Saloon. Donna Kozlowski, Park City Chamber staffer assigned to the museum says, “This is one of the best exhibits we've ever had. It's so much more than just prohibition, it’s about the whole era.” Videos, photos, fashion, memorabilia and storyboards illustrate life in the USA during that era and the concerns which led up to the enactment of the 18th amendment.Be sure to visit before it closes on May 25.
