Great White and Slaughter

  • Dejoria Center 970 North State Road 32 Kamas, UT, 84036 United States (map)

Dating back to the late 1970s in Los Angeles, CA, Great White started their journey to stardom playing small shows throughout Southern California. Fast forward to the late 1980s with a few band member changes and record label switches in between, Great White hit the mainstream with the release of their album Once Bitten in 1987. This album included hits “Rock Me” and “Save Your Love” and went platinum in April of 1988. In 1989 the band released the album …Twice Shy with their biggest hit “Once Bitten, Twice Shy.” The album went platinum in July of 1989 and reached double platinum just two months later. Great White continues to rock music venues across America, led by guitarist Mark Kendall, one of the original band members.

Joining Great White is Slaughter, an American hard rock band formed in 1988 by lead vocalist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum. Slaughter released their first album, Stick It To Ya, in 1990 and landed themselves on the Billboard Hot 100 list with “Fly To The Angels,” “Up All Night,” and “Spend My Life.” These three songs launched the band’s incredibly successful career. Over the next decade, Slaughter released four more albums including The Wild Life (1992), Fear No Evil (1995), Eternal Live (1998), and Back To Reality (1999). Slaughter and Strum continue to lead the band to this day.
