A Journey Interrupted- A Lecture on the First Plane Crash in Park City's History

On Tuesday, March 13th at 5pm the Park City Museum will host a lecture on the first plane crash in our town’s history. The lecture will be held at the Park City Museum Education and Collections Center located on 2079 Sidewinder Drive. Steve Leatham and David Nicholas will detail the circumstances regarding the crash of a Boeing Air Transport plane Model 40-A on a dark and stormy night in March 1929. The lecture will talk about the outstanding aviation careers of the two men involved in the crash and some of the myths surrounding the incident. Learn about the heroic efforts of Parkites to save crew, passengers and cargo.
