One Book One Community Film Screening // Sinking the Gustloff

Summit County Library Kimball Junction Branch will be screening the film Sinking the Gustloff: A Tragedy Exiled from Memory. Experience the real story behind Salt to the Sea. There will be a short discussion after the film.

This year's One Book, One Community selection is Salt to the Sea. Salt to the Sea is a 2016 historical fiction young adult novel by Ruta Sepetys. It tells the story of four individuals in World War II who make their way to the ill-fated German ship MV Wilhelm Gustloff.

The Summit County Library encourages everyone in Summit County to read Salt to the Sea and come be part of the community discussion. Additional Community Events: Tuesday, January 9th - 7:00 p.m. - Park City Education Foundation invites you to a free Community Conversation with the author of Salt to the Sea, Ruta Sepetys in the Jim Santy auditorium at the Park City Library.
