Description: Join the Park City Library for an artist reception for the exhibit "Transcend to Other Worlds" Artists Lisa Orr and Evelin Wander will be here to share more about their pieces' meanings and how they were created. The Annual Author Luncheon will take place on October 16th at Silver Lake Lodge, Deer Valley. Doors open at 11am. Leslie Miller, local author and editor of “Reimagining: A Place for the Wild,” is the featured speaker with “Reimagining” writers Wendy Fisher, Kerry Gee and Erin Holcomb. There will also be an original art exhibit on display by William Kranstover, cover artist,“Reimagining A Place for the Wild”. To purchase tickets ($42 in advance, $50 at the door), ask a librarian or purchase online.
Shane Burcaw is an author, blogger, and co-creator of the non-profit, Laughing At My Nightmare. His latest book, “Strangers Assume My Girlfriend is My Nurse,” is a collection of non-fiction essays about day to day life with a degenerative disease, family, and love. Experience Burcaw’s wit, humor, and grace as he and his fiance talk about awkward assumptions and situations. Speaking with Shane, is Hannah Aylward, his fiance and co-author of their next book, “INTERABLED” (2021).
