Beautiful Boy // An Insight Into Mental Health & Addiction

As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, Park City Film will be presenting a free screening of Beautiful Boy on Thursday May 9th at 7pm at the Library Center Theater. The film is about the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years. Based on memoirs “Beautiful Boy: A Father's Journey Through His Son's Addiction” by father David Sheff and “Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines” by son Nic Sheff, the film examines the son’s addiction to meth and the father’s response to his son’s struggles.

One Voice Children's Choir: A 2002 Olympic Legacy

Those attending Mountain Town Music's July 5th Wednesday concert at Deer Valley were treated to a real bonus. The opening act, ONE VOICE Children's Choir, originated from a group of children who sang at the 2002 Winter Olympics under the direction of Masa Fukuda and were so powerfully impacted by the experience they asked to continue to sing together.

Basket Weaving Classes at the Kimball Art Center

Native American basket weaving traditions come to Park City! Check out the kids, family, and adult workshops taking place at the Kimball Art Center April 21, 22 and 23. Visiting Artist Stephanie is an enrolled member of The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon. She is Santiam and Yoncalla Kalapuya, Cow Creek Umpqua, Takelma Rogue River, Clackamas Chinook and Iroquois.
