Salt Lake City
The Salt Lake City Arts Council’s Public Art Program, in collaboration with the Salt Lake City Community Reinvestment Agency (CRA), Salt Lake City Public Lands, West Side residents, and other stakeholders, seeks to commission an artist or artist-led team to create a community-informed public art installation for the west side of the 9-Line Trail. Park City
Park City Opera is now casting for its 2025–2026 programming. Mainstage opera productions include David Conte’s The Gift of the Magi in December 2025 and one or more operas in Summer 2026 (titles and dates to be announced). QUILTED TOGETHER: RAIL TRAIL

Coalville
The theme “Quilted Together” will guide the Arts & Culture implementation plan along the Rail Trail Corridor, referencing the strong culture of craft and quilting in the North and South Summit communities, and supports the long-range vision to connect the Rail Trail and the rural communities. Artists and/or Artist teams may submit concepts, and the project budget is up to $13,000. Learn more here.
MOAB DARK SKY MURAL

This call includes requests for designs for a Dark Sky Mural to be installed in the City of Moab; the location for this mural is TBD.
Funding for all projects, including the Dark Sky Mural, of up to $15,000, is available. Public art project proposals accepted include but are not limited to murals, performances, mosaics, socially engaged art, and sculpture. Learn more here.

Grant
Folk Arts Apprenticeships enable qualified individuals to study with traditional mentors of Utah’s ethnic, Native, rural, and occupational communities who demonstrate a commitment to passing on cultural knowledge. Funding assists accomplished mentors in sharing their skills with one or two apprentices of the same cultural community. Maximum request is $5,000. Learn more here.

Residencies

SkopArt, an American owned and operated artist studio located on the gorgeous Greek island of Skopelos is offering artists residencies for 2023. The studio is equipped for ceramists, mixed-media artists, painters, printmakers and sculptors. The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft is a nonprofit arts organization founded to advance education about the process, product, and history of craft. HCCC is inviting applications for its Artist Residency Program. The program supports emerging, mid-career, and established artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and mixed media. Through the residency, artists receive an opportunity to gain exposure, make connections with the community in Houston, and help educate the public about craft. Up to ten residencies — which include a 200-sq.-ft. studio, a $1K monthly stipend & a small, quarterly housing/materials allowance — will be awarded. More here.

As part of its ongoing mission, Annex:art works with international artists to coordinate self-funded and sponsored artist residency, as well as interim studio programs. Park City Public Art Advisory Board & Historic Preservation Board - curate and solicit public art for Park City. The Park City Public Art Advisory Board oversees the City's public art collection. The Park City Historic Preservation Board preserves and encourages design preferences that reflect Park City's mining heritage and hosts and annual call for a piece to honor the Historic Preservation award-winning building.
