SUNSET ON SUNRISE CHAIRLIFT AUCTION

Call for Artists
The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County is partnering with Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts EpicPromise on Sunset on Sunrise, a creative chairlift auction taking place June 11, 2025, at Canyons Village.
Local artists will collaborate with nonprofits to transform retired Sunrise Lift chairs into one-of-a-kind works of art, each reflecting the theme “what community means to me.” Proceeds from these unique pieces will directly benefit the participating organizations, supporting vital causes across Summit County.

Deadline: May 23 | Oakley Call for Artists & Makers
The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County is now accepting applications for the annual Summit Arts Market, happening Saturday, July 12 from 10am–6pm at the Oakley Red Barn.
Local artists, makers, and creatives are invited to apply by Friday, May 23 to showcase and sell their work—ranging from fine art to handcrafted goods—at this one-day, family-friendly event featuring live music, food, and artist demos.
Space is limited, with priority given to Summit County residents and Park City Artists Association members.
PLEIN AIR IN THE GARDENS

Call for Artists
Gallery MAR and Park City Gardens are seeking artists to participate in their Plein Air "Paint Out" event taking place on Saturday, July 26 from 3-6pm, held at Park City Gardens. The deadline for participating artists to sign up is June 15th, 2025. All ages and ability levels are welcome to participate. To sign up, artists should send their name, email, and phone number to info@gallerymar.com. A jury will award $250 for first place artwork, $150 for second, and one $100 honorable mention. They will also have a Kids Category for all painters 12 and under, with their own prizes.
PARK CITY FILM

Call to Artists
Park City Film is seeking a talented local artist to create a unique poster design for the Made in Utah Film Showcase on June 13! The showcase highlights films created in Utah, offering an opportunity to celebrate the rich creativity and talent within our community. The selected artist will be notified by May 9, and will receive $150 and their design will be credited on all promotional materials. See the full guidelines and how to apply here.

Call for Exhibition Proposals
The exhibition program is designed to: give Utah-based artists an opportunity to exhibit a current body of work; explore themes or media relevant to the community and broader arts field; and foster the development of curatorial skills through exhibition production and collaboration. The annual application process occurs each Spring and includes a thorough and competitive review by the Visual Arts Committee of the Salt Lake City Arts Council. Apply here.

WARHOL FOUNDATION

The Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant supports emerging and established writers who write about contemporary visual art. Ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 in three categories. The program is excited to announce the launch of the Arts Writers Translation Grant for book projects about contemporary visual art from other languages into English. Apply here.

Residencies

SkopArt, an American owned and operated artist studio located on the gorgeous Greek island of Skopelos is offering artists residencies for 2023. The studio is equipped for ceramists, mixed-media artists, painters, printmakers and sculptors. The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft is a nonprofit arts organization founded to advance education about the process, product, and history of craft. HCCC is inviting applications for its Artist Residency Program. The program supports emerging, mid-career, and established artists working in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, and mixed media. Through the residency, artists receive an opportunity to gain exposure, make connections with the community in Houston, and help educate the public about craft. Up to ten residencies — which include a 200-sq.-ft. studio, a $1K monthly stipend & a small, quarterly housing/materials allowance — will be awarded. More here.

As part of its ongoing mission, Annex:art works with international artists to coordinate self-funded and sponsored artist residency, as well as interim studio programs. Park City Public Art Advisory Board & Historic Preservation Board - curate and solicit public art for Park City. The Park City Public Art Advisory Board oversees the City's public art collection. The Park City Historic Preservation Board preserves and encourages design preferences that reflect Park City's mining heritage and hosts and annual call for a piece to honor the Historic Preservation award-winning building.
