Ballet West Summit Festival Brings Dance, Film, and Community to Park City This Summer
Ballet West is bringing world-class dance, film, and community connection to Park City this summer with the inaugural Ballet West Summit Festival: Where Art Meets Elevation, a three-day celebration of the arts taking place July 15–17.
Set against the backdrop of Utah's mountains, the festival celebrates the many ways art brings people together through movement, storytelling, and shared experiences. In partnership with local organizations, including Park City Film, Ballet West invites the community to experience dance in new and unexpected ways.
The festival opens with From Root to Relevé: A Farm-to-Table Dinner Experience with Ballerina Farm and Ballet West on Wednesday, July 15. This special evening combines culinary artistry, live ballet performances, and a preview of the festival. The dinner experience is now sold out, but the community can still take part in the remaining festival events.
Experience Dance on Screen: Raising Voices En Pointe
On Thursday, July 16, audiences are invited to Raising Voices En Pointe, a free film screening presented in partnership with Park City Film and Ballet West at the Jim Santy Auditorium.
The evening features two documentaries exploring representation, inclusion, and the evolving story of ballet. About Face follows dancers and advocates working to create a more inclusive future for the art form, while Ten Times Better shares the story of George Lee, an Asian American pioneer whose career connected ballet and Broadway. A post-screening conversation with filmmakers and ballet leaders will follow.
Ballet Under the Stars: Ballet West at the Summit
The festival concludes on Friday, July 17, with Ballet West at the Summit, an outdoor performance at the Amphitheater at Canyons Village at Park City Mountain. Audiences will experience Ballet West's acclaimed dancers performing a collection of classical and contemporary works beneath the summer night sky. Tickets are still available for this unique opportunity to enjoy professional ballet in a stunning mountain setting.
