ACERCA DEL CONSEJO DE LAS ARTES

Founded in 1986, the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County serves as the designated Local Arts Agency for communities across Summit County. We lead public art initiatives, advocate for sustainable arts funding including the RAP Tax and percent for art policies, and provide professional program management on behalf of local governments. In 2026, we completed the Arts & Culture Master Plan for Park City and Summit County and now serve as the lead implementer, guiding long term cultural policy and investment. We support artists and arts organizations year round through programming, professional development, and initiatives like the CREATE PC Local Artist Collective. As the only nonprofit solely dedicated to advancing Arts & Culture countywide, we strengthen the creative economy and connect our community through the arts.

Nuestra misión

We ensure Arts & Culture thrives for our communities.

Our Impact

At the Arts Council, we believe that when Arts & Culture thrives, our local communities prosper. We aim to nurture a healthy creative sector by elevating Arts & Culture as a vital force for connection, identity, and well-being to help build a vibrant community. We support artists, cultural organizations, creative businesses, and audiences to enrich the cultural fabric of Park City and Summit County, creating spaces for creative expression and community belonging.

Our Vision

We envision a community where Arts & Culture is critical, where creatives and cultural organizations are supported, and where all people connect through the arts.

Nuestro plan estratégico

Adopted alongside the community’s new 10 year Arts and Culture Master Plan, formally supported by both Park City Council and Summit County Council, our 2026 to 2031 Strategic Plan marks a pivotal moment for Arts and Culture in Summit County. As the lead implementers of this shared vision, the Arts Council is proud to launch the next chapter of our work.

Developed through extensive community input, stakeholder conversations, and thoughtful analysis by our board and staff, this plan reflects where we are today and outlines a clear path forward. Over the next five years, our focus is on strengthening organizational sustainability, leading Master Plan implementation, expanding resources for the creative sector, and sustaining community vibrancy through impactful programming, public art, and advocacy.

At its core, this plan reaffirms our mission: ensuring Arts and Culture thrives for our community. We invite you to explore the full Strategic Plan to learn more about the priorities and guiding principles shaping the future of Arts and Culture in Summit County.
