The Arts Council of Park City & Summit County has the inside scoop on everything happening as the sun starts to peek out. For years, we’ve had the pleasure of supporting the area’s arts and culture scene with creative programs, year-round events, and resources for local artists—and we love seeing both locals and visitors get involved.

The historic Egyptian Theatre Company showcases live stage performances including concerts, comedy, drama, and dance.

Park City Institute’s Winter Series runs through May and features national and international talents in music, dance, stage magic, comedy, and speakers.

Culinary Delights

Lucky you, now you can get Lucky Ones Coffee in Park City and Salt Lake City! This hand crafted coffeeshop seeks to empower people with disabilities through gainful employment.

Salt Box Eatery & Catering is a grab-and-go specialty market, deli, and coffee shop. Order a variety of gourmet family dinner meal packs to go. Choose from Blackened Salmon Jumbalaya with cucumber feta salad to Chicken Parmesan with a Ceasar salad – just reheat and relax.

Family Activities

The Park City Museum tells the colorful history of the town’s silver mining days full of outlaws and rule-breakers, complete with the original territorial jail built in 1885. Learn about the town’s history with interactive exhibits, original artifacts, and engaging storytelling. And explore exhibits like a stagecoach, a refurbished bar, and a skier subway.

The museum also hosts a Historic Home Tour showcasing some of Park City’s most interesting historic homes dating back to the 1870s and a Historic Walking Tour of historic downtown.

At the Alf Engen Ski Museum, up at the Utah Olympic Park, you can get a taste of the living Olympic legacy in our mountain town. Learn about the history of skiing, famous skiers, and the science of Utah’s snow and various winter sports. You can even try your hand at ski jumping with the Take Flight simulator.

Author Talks

Dolly’s Books & Gifts is where you can really dive into a story and meet authors. When intimate gatherings are possible, authors come to discuss and sign their latest works, and the events are free and open to the public.

Park City Library hosts in-person and virtual author talks, for the days when Spring hasn’t quite sprung and you’d rather read a book.

Get Creative + Exhibits

On the last Friday of the month, join fellow art-lovers in meandering down Historic Main Street through participating galleries. Check out the newest installations from local, national, and international artists, and stop by CREATE PC Local Artist Collective for special events and activities. The Last Friday Gallery Stroll is from 6-9pm on Historic Main Street.

In 2010, Banksy’s film Exit Through the Gift Shop premiered at Sundance Film Festival in Park City. Leading up to the showing, famous street artist Banksy surprised the town overnight with several of his famous stencil graffiti installations. Many were scrubbed away, but two remain on the streets of Park City for passersby to enjoy. Check out Banksy’s works of Camera Man and Flower at the Java Cow Café & Bakery on Main Street and Praying Boy at the Cunningham Building, 537 Main St.

Visit the Montage Deer Valley’s art collection representing the culture and heritage of the American West. Guests and art lovers are welcome to take a self-guided tour to learn more about the collection. Stop at the concierge desk to explore a copy of their art tour book containing artist biographies as well as information about all the works in the collection of paintings, sculptures, and more.

Park City/Summit County is famous for a wide range of public art. There are numerous pieces of various art forms from sculptures and murals to shelters and pianos around the county. Take a look at Park City Public Art Tour and then use this map to discover unexpected beauty throughout the community.

Miner sculpture, located at 405 Main Street in Miner’s Park, pays homage to the town’s humble beginnings when the silver mines first opened back in 1884.

Franz the Bear is a local icon. You can find this fellow on a bench at 560 Main Street along the sidewalk that spans Swede Alley and Main St.

Flaco is a metal and wood horse piece on display at 1250 Park Ave.

The Future Is Now mural on the underpass of SR 224 which connects the Kimball Junction Visitor Center and Redstone reflects the vision of community and hopes for the future. The mural was painted by local 11- to 17-year olds under the instruction of Bisco Smith, an internationally renowned street and visual artist from New York.

The Hoytsville Historical Mural was created by Argentinian muralist Sasha Primo, with input from the North Summit community and Ute and Eastern Shoshone tribal members. The mural honors the unique history of the region, and can be visited at 1755 S Hoytsville Road in Coalville.

Art Pianos for All is a local non-profit with a mission to bring back the piano as a centerpiece of music, community, art, and fun. Artist-decorated pianos are placed in public areas to be played and enjoyed by all.
