Presented by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County, Art on the Trails is an annual outdoor event that transforms McLeod Creek Trail into a one-of-a-kind gallery where art, performance, and nature come together. Guided tours lead visitors along a scenic, accessible trail featuring site-specific visual art installations, live music, dance, theater, and interactive performances created by talented local and regional artists. Designed to encourage exploration and connection, the event invites residents and visitors alike to experience Park City’s creative community in an unexpected outdoor setting.

The experience extends beyond the trail itself. Before and after each guided tour, guests gather at a local space to enjoy refreshments and a welcoming community atmosphere surrounded by the natural beauty of Summit County. Art on the Trails not only showcases the incredible talent of local artists but also helps foster a thriving arts and culture community throughout Park City. Whether you’re discovering the event for the first time or making it an annual tradition, Art on the Trails offers an inspiring way to experience creativity beyond the walls of a gallery.

  • Art on the Trails in Park City tours start at Copper Moose Farm Stand at 1285 Old Ranch Rd, Park City, UT 84098. Click for Directions. Tours take place along the scenic McLeod Creek Trail to Temple Har Shalom and back.

  • It's best to park at Willow Creek Park at 4460 Split Rail Lane, Park City, UT 84098. Click for Directions. After you’ve parked, make your way over to the Copper Moose Farm Stand to check in for your Art on the Trails tour.

  • This program is presented by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County in partnership with Basin Recreation and is made possible with the support of Copper Moose Farm Stand. Art on the Trails of Park City celebrates local and regional performing and visual artists—making their work more visible to our community. Our goal is to provide an accessible platform for residents and visitors to immerse themselves in nature while experiencing high-caliber performances and visually stunning artwork.

    Tours leave every 20 minutes from Copper Moose Farm, starting at 2 pm with the final departure at 4 pm. Each guided walking tour takes you on a leisurely hike to several site-specific locations along McLeod Creek Trail. The tour takes about 1.5 hours. After the tour, we invite you to be our guest at the Copper Moose Farm Stand to enjoy locally grown and produced food, flowers, gifts, and more!

  • Comfy shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle (water stations will be along the trail).

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour start time. We recommend parking at Willow Creek and walking to Copper Moose Farm Stand, where scheduled tours begin and end.

  • Advance registration is recommended for all Art on the Trails in Park City tours. The event is $25 for adults and free for kids under 12. To reserve a tour, please go to our Eventbrite home page and navigate down to sign up for your preferred time. Walk-ups are welcome, based on availability.

  • Anyone is welcome to come before or after their Art on the Trails experience to enjoy the farm stand, picnic items and drinks available at Copper Moose!

    The McLeod Creek Trail route used during Art on the Trails is ADA accessible for most mobility levels. ASL interpretation from InterWest Interpreting will be available upon request for this event. 

  • Quick-passing storms can be common in our area. Art on the Trails will proceed unless there is severe weather (lightning within 10 miles of the event site).

Copper Moose Farm Stand

Visit the on-site farm stand to purchase freshly harvested produce, flower arrangements, and an array of artisan goods from local community partners. 

The farm stand is a market with local charm, and makes for a wonderful place to gather and stop by before or after your tour.
