Summer Events & Community Engagement Internship
OPENINGS
Seeking 2-3 Interns for the Summer Event Season
START/END DATE
Early June (depending on availability - some remote work may be applicable) through the end of August 2026. Possible extension to September based on availability.
LOCATION
Park City/Summit County, UT
TIME COMMITMENT
5-10 hours/week, on-site event attendance is required, remote work on non-event days is available; must be available to attend the majority if not all events in-person (dates below), and participate in one in-person weekly meeting per week.
COMPENSATION
$16/hour; School credit available if needed

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL PUESTO
The Arts Council is seeking Summer Events & Community Engagement Interns to help us with event volunteer management, survey collection, event planning, event operations support, marketing and community outreach.
We are looking for energetic, outgoing, organized self-starters with a passion for Arts & Culture and community engagement. We provide a flexible and individualized environment for young professionals who are looking to step into a creative field. Knowledge of nonprofit event production, community engagement, and volunteer management best practices are a bonus.
This internship would be ideal for high school and college students looking to gain work experience in the Arts & Culture sector, Nonprofit/Volunteer Management, Event Management & Production, Data Analysis, Social Media content generation, or Community Development & Engagement areas.

June 11-14, 2026: Latino Arts Festival @ Canyons Village
June 26, 2026: CREATE PC Summer Exhibit Opening
July 11, 2026: Summit Arts Market @ Oakley Red Barn
July 31, 2026: Gallery Stroll @ CREATE PC
August 6 - 8, 2026: Summit County Fair Fine Art Show @ Coalville Fairgrounds
August 22, 2026: Art on the Trails @ Copper Moose Farm/McLeod Creek Trail
August 28, 2026: Gallery Stroll @ CREATE PC
September 19, 2026: Monster Drawing Rally @ Kimball Art Center
September 25, 2026: Art & Music Gallery Stroll @ CREATE PC/Main Street
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Event participant surveying, data collection, and data analysis/reporting.
Volunteer coordination and support for all summer events.
Develop on-site creative youth community engagement activities during select events.
Operations and production support including event set up, break down, and pre-planning activities for all summer events.
Social media content generation to support Arts Council program promotion.
Art handling and gallery install support at CREATE PC and Summit County Fair Art Show.
Community outreach activities to cultivate small business support for select events.
Event promotion support including flyer and postcard distribution, connecting with local concierge, etc.
Select marketing support including calendar input and website update support.
Participation in weekly staff meetings (currently every Tuesday, 10am-12pm MST)
Some heavy lifting (setting up tents, tent weights, event tables) may be involved.
Spanish language is a plus but not required.
