Art on the Trails, presented by iFIT, is a program that connects art and nature, and celebrates our local and regional performing and visual artists—making their work more visible to our community. Our goal is to provide an accessible platform for residents and visitors to immerse themselves in nature while experiencing high caliber performances and visually stunning artwork.

This program is provided by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County in partnership with Basin Recreation and is made possible with the support of our presenting sponsor iFIT and host partner Copper Moose Farm Stand.

“Through Art on the Trails, the Arts Council aims to connect more closely with residents and visitors to showcase artistic talent and to celebrate art and nature—two integral components of Park City’s culture” states Jocelyn Scudder, Executive Director of the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County.

Enjoy pop-up creative performances along the McLeod Creek Trail between Copper Moose Farm Stand and Temple Har Shalom in Park City. Performances include Brynne Burgess and Scout Jones, youth contestant winners from Poetry Out Loud Presented by the Utah Division of Arts & Museums; a trombone duet by Mark Davidson and Sam Elliot presented by Utah Symphony; Zeus Garcia of MUSE PCMichelle Moonshine presented by Mountain Town Music; ballet dance by Michele Wiles accompanied by Spanish Guitar by Sophie Stanley from BalletNEXT; Flamenco Del Lago presented by the Living Traditions Festival; an interactive art installation by Vicky Lowe of Maya Story Weavers; and visual art installations along the trail from local artists Anna Leigh Moore, Franklin Woodworking, Len Starbeck, and Emily Quinn Loughlin. This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

Tours will leave every 20 minutes starting at 2pm until 4pm. Each tour will be led on a leisurely hike by a tour guide to site-specific locations along McLeod Creek Trail. This is an easy, flat, shaded gravel trail that’s accessible to all ability levels, and is about 1.5 miles round trip. Walking leisurely, it will take groups an estimated 1.5 hours to complete the Art on the Trails experience round trip. Don’t forget sunscreen, comfy shoes, and a hat. There will be water stations along the trail.

After your tour, stay to enjoy the lounge at the Copper Moose Farm Stand. There will be food from Yoli’s Taco Truck, a cash bar, and live music by Michelle Moonshine until 6pm.

Please join us on Saturday, August 28th from 2-6pm for Art on the Trails. For more information visit the Art on the Trails webpage at pcscarts.org. Please help us plan in advance by registering for your preferred tour time here. Walk-ups are also welcome, based on availability.
