St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Summer Lineup and New Location

Big Stars Bright Nights 2018

Live music and outdoors concerts are cornerstones of a great Park City summer. Both residents and visitors alike look forward to grabbing a blanket and a few friends to enjoy the many musical opportunities around town. In that tradition, this summer marks the 15th year in a row that Park City Institute (PCI) presents its outdoor concert series, the St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights. This year comes with a twist however. After learning late last year that Deer Valley wasn’t going to renew PCI’s contract to hold the concerts at the resort, there was a scramble to select and secure a new venue for this summer’s great lineup.

PCI recently announced that all shows will be held at Quinn’s Junction Sports Complex on Gillmor Way in Park City. The series starts on July 3 with Los Lonely Boys and runs through September 2, 2018. The only venue exception is Grace Potter’s appearance at City Park on July 16.

The full lineup includes the following:

  • July 3 – Los Lonely Boys

  • July 16 – Grace Potter (at City Park)

  • July 23 – Chris Blue

  • August 5 – Lucia Micarelli and Joshua Roman

  • August 10 – Corrine Bailey Rae

  • August 11 – Don Felder (formerly of The Eagles)

  • August 16 – Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers

  • August 24 – The Wallflowers

  • September 2 – Nashville Café, starring Chris Carmack and Chip Esten

These concerts are ticketed events, with both lawn seating and reserved seating available. You can purchase tickets online at parkcityinstitute.com or by contacting the Eccles Center Box Office at (435)655-3114, Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm.

Shows start at 6pm. If you aren’t sure who to go see, check out PCI’s website for brief video footage of each act. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a summer evening and watch the sun set over the mountains while listening to some great tunes.
