Traveling Exhibit at the Kimball Junction Library

The Summit County Fine Art Collection may have a permanent home at the Summit County Courthouse in Coalville, however there are still ways to enjoy select pieces in communities throughout the county. The Kimball Junction Library is currently hosting the final traveling exhibit through the first half of September.

“[The exhibit] gives off a powerful presence that can take the viewer out of Summit County, giving a feeling of momentary dreamlike escape,” says traveling exhibit curator Tory Guilfoyle.

Guilfoyle goes on to say, “Each piece, in its own way, details surreal grandiosity, a touch of romanticism, and impressive technical skill that is sure to excite the mind. Whether it be the enhanced, surreal scenes or the ethereal elements added in the details, this collection of works exhibits some of the most exciting pieces in the Summit County collection.”

The Summit County Public Art Advisory Board curates the exhibit as a way to promote and educate our community on the County Collection and showcases pieces in public exhibition spaces within the county.

The traveling exhibit includes pieces such as:

Vigilant Watch by Lara Williams

Seascape by Connie Madsen

Untitled by Michelle Fawcett Black

Make sure to check out the entire exhibit while it’s still at the Summit County Library in Kimball Junction!
