Music & MountainS Color
the Kamas Valley
Start with about a 30-minute scenic drive from Park City to Woodland, UT for breakfast at the Woodland Biscuit Company or stop by the Chevron in Kamas for giant, homemade apple fritters. Head out Mirror Lake Highway for an awesome view into the Uinta mountain colors. Provo Falls is a great resting point or drive all the way to Mirror Lake for the full experience. Come back through Kamas and pop into Artique, a local gallery and art collective. If you’re hankering for a milkshake don’t miss Hi-Mountain Drug.
Stop for a tour of High Star Ranch and stay for a dinner and a show at the Dejoria Center (David Archuleta concert on Sept. 23 at 8pm) or keep going and have dinner at the Road Island Diner in Oakley. Drive back through Peoa (if you’re lucky Bill Kranstover’s Gallery will be open - or call for an appointment).
If timing is right, check out the Harvest Fest at High Star Ranch (Oct. 7) – wagon rides, music, activities for kids, crafts, food and more.
