Call for Artists // Winter Arts Showcase 2020

Winter Arts Showcase1.jpg

Applications are now open for Winter Arts Showcase, an artisanal market and art showcase featuring local artists and developed in partnership with the Park City Summit County Arts Council and the Park City Professional Artists Association (‘PCPAA’). The Showcase will take place President’s Day Weekend, February 15-16, at the Park City Community Church and will feature artwork and handcrafted artisanal goods for sale.

A peer review jury will select artists to participate and notifications of acceptance will be sent by the beginning of January. Artists will receive approximately 100 square feet of space, and 100% of artwork sales go back to the artists. The Winter Arts Showcase will feature approximately 30 artists from a variety of media including paintings, photography, prints, jewelry, ceramics, textiles and sculpture. This is a great opportunity for both established and emerging artists and artisans to showcase their work, and join a community of local artists. The Arts Council is an umbrella non-profit organization with a mission to promote, support, and strengthen arts and culture in our community. We do this through marketing, programming, and advocacy activities that tell the story of and draw attention to our local creative sector. Even further, we strive to nurture creativity in everyone, and connect art and creativity to daily life and community priorities.

The Park City Professional Artists Association (PCPAA) is an alliance for the promotion of local art within the Park City community. The PCPAA believes in the value of creating, sharing and promoting art in our community.  It is in the sharing of art that we remain a viable community focusing on a connection to the world around us, and to each other. PCPAA nurtures these connections through the creative process and visual experiences that we offer to all members of our community.
