Staff Recommendations for Spring 2023

After a long and snowy winter, the newly arrived spring promises to bring warmer temperatures and (hopefully) more sunshine to town. As the snow starts to melt, take advantage of the longer days and spend some time checking out some of our staff recommendations for all things art and culture in Summit County.

Looking for a new read? Make your way to Dolly’s and check out a few novels from local authors. From Jeff Devaney’s Remember Who You Are, a memoir about learning disabilities and perseverance to Jack Carr’s James Reece thriller series ahead of the newest installment coming out in May. Don’t forget to support former Arts Council director Hadley Dynak by checking out her newest book It’s a Good Day to Change the World

If you’re wanting to take a stroll on Main Street,  head over to Pink Elephant inside Prospect for a quick coffee break. Founded in Park City back in 2014, Pink Elephant focuses on providing high quality and single-origin coffees while sourcing Fair Trade and organic beans. Feel good about treating yourself to a coffee as a portion of sales goes back to local nonprofits supporting public lands. We heard the sweet matcha latte makes for a sweet treat whether it’s hot or iced.

We’re excited for our pop up Art Piano performances to start back up this summer but why wait for live music when the Canyons Village Spring Concert Series is going on now. Get some grub and enjoy some tunes from artists like local favorite Lash Larue or Breakfast Klub.

Catch up on the local arts and culture scene by tuning into a few KPCW segments. In particular, keep up with Ballet West as they celebrate their 60th season or check out the lineup for their 2023-2024 season

PCStyle Magazine featured two wonderful locals and their relationships to their respective crafts. Learn about Alan Schoenberger’s ski performances and career or revisit William Kranstovers legacy in Park City through skiing and art.

We’re excited about what this spring is bringing in and we hope you’ll share your arts & culture recommendations with us on our socials!
